Most basketball calculators online answer a single number. Hoop Lab gives you the math behind that number — projection models, periodization cycles, decision trees, and visual designers — so you can train, coach, and play with more intent.
Each tool was built because the standard version was missing something: projection logic, periodization structure, decision trees, position-specific norms. We added the parts the others cut.
Every tool comes with a written guide on how to interpret the number, who the tool is for, and what it does not measure. We won't pretend a calculator replaces a coach.

Organized into five working categories. Each tool page is standalone — open any one and the calculator, guide, FAQ, and limitations are all there.
Predict your max vertical from submaximal jumps using the Lewis and Harman power models. Includes peak power output.
Tanaka-based max HR with basketball-specific zone distribution (more high-intensity time than generic charts).
Position-specific MET-based calorie estimate with substitutions and pace adjustment.
A basketball-aware alternative to BMI that respects muscle mass and position norms.
Combine vertical, wingspan, reach, sprint and agility into a single position-normed composite score.
Real periodization: 3–4 week mesocycles, deload weeks, intensity vs volume trade-offs. No generic "Monday: cardio".
Time-budgeted dynamic warm-up built around your position, court time, and previous session's load.
Progressive overload using tennis balls, reaction balls, multi-ball drills — with cognitive load tracking.
Pick Sargent, Vertec, Abalakov, or force-plate-style protocols with the correct procedure and warm-up.
Build dribbling sessions that scale in cognitive load — pattern, speed, vision, and decision layers.
Build your own efficiency map by zone with FG% expectations, sample size, and confidence flags.
Visual tree editor for PnR reads: drop, reject, slip, re-screen, with timing cues for each layer.
Time-paced physical + mental routine with breathing, cue word, and trigger point configuration.
Stance, slide, drop, help-and-recover patterns filtered by team defensive system (man/zone/help).
Visualize cone layouts (T-drill, 5-0-5, lane agility, custom) with timing targets and regressions.
Multi-factor readiness scoring: sleep, hydration, soreness, mental load, recent training stress.
Mental training scenarios (crowd noise, late game, technical) with breathing protocols.
Manual angle input from video analysis (release, elbow flare, knee bend) with feedback ranges.
Quantify matchup difficulty by position, size, athleticism, and skill dimensions.
Combine zone, defender distance, game clock, and shot clock to estimate shot quality.
Position-based estimate of court area defended per minute, with substitutions considered.
Estimate miles traveled during a game based on position, minutes, and team pace.
These tools were built for three groups of people, and the calculations are tuned differently for each.
